learned in a few day of showing

I showed Caleb this a couple of times and he became a pro at it in 4 days.

Soccer

As everyone knows Caleb is so excited about soccer.

Caleb plays hard. All the kids had their turn of falling on the ground just in the mist of everyone going for the ball. At one point Caleb had a bloody nose, he continued playing. The coach asked him to go get a drink and he said he didn’t need a drink as he brushed the blood away from his face. Today at practice I will be packing wipes and the first aid kit is in my car ready to go.

These pictures are of his first pratice.

Caleb's school

Caleb is so excited about school starting back up. He gets to go a little longer this year too. Here is what they do each day...
teacher works one on one with each student
recess
music (Kindermusic teacher)
show and tell
lunch and free time
storytime, paperwork, math
snack
exploratory time (they will be reading books, dressing up and bring the books to life)

First day of gymnastics

After Maddie has been crawling all over the couch, jumping off the bed and such we have been feeling that it’s time for Maddie to join gymnastics. She needs a outlet! She had her first class and she did great. She was so excited, listened to the teacher, waited her turn and did great at each thing. She was so cute and did everything will a big smile on her face.

Building a drum

Our new thing is going to Lowes and building their project of the month. I think it is great for the kids because it teaches them new things and gives them supplies that we don’t have. We ended up meeting a friend there and the kids made drums. Caleb is getting down the hammer and is able to hit some of the nails all the way into the wood. The kids love their new drums and have spent the last week running around the house beating them.

We also went to a parade after making the drums and our thought was that the kids would beat the drums as all the vehicles passed but they were too into everything. Caleb was so excited about each thing that passed. It was a lot of fun to watch him.

Maddie playing dress up

She ran around all day dressed up and it was priceless...

Madeline's 1st time riding a bike

Yesterday we were kind of sick of being inside so we took the kids out in the rain to ride bikes and check out what Madeline picked up… that right… her first time peddling her bike all by herself.

Disney on Ice

Disney on Ice is awesome. The whole family loved it. We were smiling, participating with the audience, and truly enjoying the whole performance. Caleb was so excited and would tell me which character just came out on the ice and continue to say that he loved them and he was so excited as he jumped up and down in his chair. Madeline just sat at the edge of her seat taking it all in with a big smile to amazement expressions on her face. Both Eric and I kept smiling at each other because we loved the kids reactions to it. It was a GREAT night! We won the tickets and the seats were truly impressive for a giveaway. I really have been trying to talk myself out of going again this weekend. It was a great time.

VBS program

Eric weekend off

Two really cute pictures of Caleb and Daddy

A nice walk through Tower Grove Park

Hanging at the Zoo

Picinc at Forest Park. The kids loved to run up and down this hill.

I got this boat at a yardsale in GJ. We finally have a spot to use it. We roped the boat to land and took the kids out. It was a lot of fun.

Blackberries

Caleb must have eaten 6/7cups of blackberries right off the vine. Madeline tried them but spit them out and said yucky but she really enjoyed picking them and putting them in her bucket. We took the blackberries home and made jam. This is something that I have wanted to do for awhile now since we are not in CO we are unable to get Grandma’s homemade strawberry jam.
