Valentine's Day

Eric waited until I feel asleep the night before Valentine’s Day and then went to the kitchen/living room and hung up streamers and balloons, the table was decorated with Valentine decor: plates, cups and napkins and there were flowers on the table. I was totally surprised when I walked into the kitchen.
Eric and Caleb made blueberry muffins for breakfast.

Caleb spent all afternoon blowing this balloon up until it popped.

Maddie sat on balloons all afternoon.

Both kids got something for Valentine's Day. Caleb loved his batman water bottles. And Maddie, well she got a braclette. I'm not to sure how well she likes it.

Eric also made a really yummy chocolate raspberry desert that was to die for and a mid-afternoon snack that involved strawberries filled with filling and chocolate syrup all over them. The desert were a total surprise from Eric but a joint effort in making them.

He made me feel so special and the kids love it. All day you could hear Happy Valentine’s Day from Eric, Caleb and Maddie throughout the house. It was really special for the whole family and a lot of fun.

Caleb Dentist Appointment

Caleb and the dentist counting the frog's teeth.
Caleb cleaning the frogs teeth after the dentist shows and explains the tool.

My brave boy. Notice him holding my hand.

Yes, I took this picture because I know one day it will be uncool to hold his mommy’s hand in public and I savored the moment.

Caleb’s dentist is by far the best dentist the out there. I was so impressed with the care that he gave to my son. I’m not to sure what all dentist do with a child for the first time but Caleb’s dentist received stars in my book. He took Caleb in his lap and put a huge stuff animal (frog with huge dentures) in the dentist chair and proceeded to tell and show Caleb what he was going to do to the frogs teeth. Caleb was able to use all the utensils on the frogs teeth and then it was Caleb’s turn. Caleb was a little nervous about it and kept crawling into my lap but I told him that I love to have me teeth cleaned and especially loved to have my gums tickled. He was interested in the tickling part so he climbed back into the dental chair.

Dental Health Theater, Sledding and More

Caleb has his first dentist appointment this week so I thought it would be fun to go to the Dental Health Theatre here in town. The kids really enjoyed it. They had one on one personal attention from a staff member who showed them how to brush teeth and the important of brushing. The played with puzzles, read books, brushed a number of teeth and sat in a dentist seat.
