bye bye computer

Eric’s computer decided not to turn on. Eric is friends with 2 wonderful people that have put broken computers together and remade their functional computer so they came over to see if they could get it working. No such luck but it was fun having them over and very interesting to have the lab top apart.

Bath Paints

One afternoon, when the kids had enough of each other and I needed their attention focused else where for sanity purposes we made bath paints. They loved it and Caleb has been asking to paint the bathtub since.

I used 3 TBS of hand soap and a drop or two of food die. Just to give credit where it is deserved I saw this on another blog.

City Garden

City Garden is awesome!!! It’s one of my new favorite places to take the kids. There are so many different water areas for the kids to enjoy on a hot summer afternoon.

Baby Shoes

Baby Shoes by Dashka Slater

We checked out this book from the library. My kids LOVE it!!! They enjoy it so much I decided to do a project around it. I drew out a picture of a shoe for both kids. I set them up with water paints. We read the book and when something happened to the white shoes, the kids found the color that applied and painted what they thought the mess would look like on the shoes.

Below are the final products of their painted shoes. I took the picture next to the book so you could see the comparison in shoes.

6 flags

I'm sure that all the family knows but we got the buy 1 get 5 free deal. We are meeting Keely and her family there every 2 weeks. It's so much fun to see, hang out and see the kids play/bond together.

Pool Party

The cutest picture ever...

Grand opening

We stopped at a grand opening to enter to win a not need 42" plasma flat screen tv... just for the fun of it. On our way out we were greeted and asked if the kids wanted a special balloon. Of course, the kids loved the balloons and Caleb ended up with his face painted. Afterwards, we met a friend at the park.
